Rotary Club of Felixstowe Events

Throughout the year, the Rotary Club of Felixstowe, like other Clubs, stages a series of events to raise money enabling the Club to support charities both locally and worldwide. Several of these events have been going for a number of years whilst others have been added and continue if they prove successful. The Club is always looking for new ideas and ways to help good causes whilst at the same time providing fun and entertainment for all who join in.

Annual Fun Run Up-date

The annual Rotary Club Fun Run took place on Monday 3 May, 2010 with a record number of entrants taking part. Many were in fancy dress and prizes were awarded at the end by Mayor Angel Goodwin, for the ones she and her husband picked out. Unlike the Sunday when the heavens opened (virtually day) and there were gusty winds and crashing waves, the weather was kind and an ideal temperature to run in.

Rudolph in Town

The summer months tend to be a quiet period for Rotary activities but here is a reminder of something to look forward to. Yes we know we are only just into summer and Christmas is a long way away, but you might be surprised at all the preparation that has to take place well before the event.

From the beginning of December up until almost Christmas Day, Santa and Rudolph will be out and about each evening in different parts of Felixstowe and surrounding areas. Apart from providing the children (and grown-ups) a fun time in seeing perhaps one of their favorite people, it also offers a chance to raise money for the less fortunate amongst us.

More details will be available nearer the time with times, dates and routs published in the local press and on this site - around May 2010.
